If location, background anchor watch, or alarms are not working as expected, start with these checks.
Safety notice:
DingHai is an anchor-watch aid and cannot replace a human watch, compliant marine equipment, or independent alarms.
Unable to place an anchor
- Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → DingHai.
- Set location access to Always and enable Precise Location.
- Return to an open area and wait for DingHai to show a reliable position before placing the anchor.
No background alert
- Confirm that anchor watch is still active and has not been ended.
- In Settings → Notifications → DingHai, allow notifications and sounds.
- Check system volume, Focus modes, and connected Bluetooth audio devices.
- Do not force-quit DingHai from the app switcher while anchor watch is active.
Location remains unavailable
GPS can be delayed inside a cabin, around dense metal structures, or where the sky view is limited. Move to a more open location and confirm that Location Services are enabled. Do not rely on the app as your only anchor-watch method before a reliable position is available.

Do not post real vessel positions, movement tracks, Apple Account details, or other sensitive information publicly.
